How do recycled tees help the earth?
Our recycled (cotton) fibers do not require land use or intensive irrigation therefore
no chemical fertilizers or freak nasty pesticides are needed, similar to our organic garments.

Using recycled textiles in the manufacturing process reduces energy and resource use.

How are our recycled tees manufactured?

Step 1: Textile waste or clippings are collected from several pre-consumer
venues: new cotton-knit cuttings, which have been discarded during the apparel
cut and sew process, upholstery and trim fabric, yarn waste and industrial fibers.

Step 2: Clippings are sorted by color and chopped into a fine linty material
called “shoddy”.

Step 3: Shoddy is then spun into a yarn that is used to produce recycled fabric - and in turn made into products such as our tees.

Are our recycled tees dyed?
We use cotton fibers require no new dying because they are color blended by using
pre-consumer textile clippings.

How do recycled fiber tees eliminate waste?
The recycling process reduces incinerator and landfill use by reprocessing pre-consumer
textile waste into consumer-ready shirts.
